Frequently Asked Questions
Some questions you might have about ordering your Vegan Cakes
I bake everything fresh to order so would appreciate as much notice as possible. This would also depend on quantities and my availability around other commitments. I do not like to disappoint so please contact me even if its last minute as I will always aim to help. It is never to early to book in your celebration cake. Some of my wedding cakes are booked 18 months -2 years in advance with a £50 deposit to save the date.
Do you have a minimum order quantity?
I bake everything fresh to order so I am unable to produce small orders of just a few small cakes as this would not be economically viable. I have a minimum order of 12 per flavour for my smaller cakes and bakes. Please ask before placing your order!
How do I place a cake order?
As I may be baking or running one of my workshops, the quickest way to order would be to email me your requirements including designs, flavours, quantities and the date of your event. Please use my contact page and I will get back to you to confirm prices and availability as quickly as possible.
When do I pay?
Cake orders require a 50% deposit on order with the balance on collection or on delivery. Wedding orders require £50 deposit to save the date and then the above applies when placing your order. You can pay in full at time of order if you prefer and I also offer ways to spread the cost. Classes will require full payment on booking.
How do I pay?
My preferred method of payment is bank transfer or deposit, you can also pay online by card through the PayPalMe link on the home page. I also use PayPal or if you are local, I am happy for you to pay by cash. Please note you do not need a PayPal account to make payment, just choose the option to pay with any card!
Do you deliver?
I may be able to deliver for a small charge depending on availability, please ask when placing your order. For large orders and weddings, a more personalised service delivering and setting up your cakes is included.
How long do your cakes keep?
This is not usually a problem with our cakes as they tend to be gone before you know it. If you are storing them then they will be good for a few days if kept in their original box. Alternatively, you could transfer them into an airtight container for a bit longer. Cupcakes and smaller cakes will be at their best if eaten within a couple of days you may sometimes find the cases start to peel away on cupcakes when stored. Uncut celebration cakes will keep fresh in their original box and a cool place for several day but once cut please use an airtight container. Never store your cakes in the fridge as this can change their texture, they are at their best at room temperature.
Do you offer a Bespoke Service?
Absolutely! Please give me your ideas or allow my artistic talent to overflow. Please provide as much information as possible when asking for a quotation.
For my wedding cakes and cupcakes etc do you offer a taster session?
Of course, I know you will want to get the flavours just right for your special occasion, please speak to me regarding your requirements.
Do you offer allergy free cakes/bakes?
By nature, vegan cakes are free from eggs and dairy, but I also make lots of cakes without using gluten, soya or nuts. I have a strict cleaning schedule but prefer to air on the side of caution and therefore I cannot fully guarantee no cross-contamination for severe allergy sufferers.
